This is Eddie Stuart’s response to that question, and it’s amazing! Eddie is part of the InsideOut poetry program in Detroit, which brings poets to public schools to lead workshops and generally inspire. I think it worked! I’m sure there’s something similar in New York, but I’ll have to research it. Teaching kids poetry is something I would really like to do.
